Normativity and Variation in the Address Terms System Practiced among the Jordanian Youth Community

This study investigates the key forms of address used amongst Jordanian university students, impact gender on using these and what accounts for variation in their system. The results revealed that identified normative patterns represent politic behaviours, which index meanings relations among youth community, relation specific contexts. most frequent strategies students others are personal names, innovative descriptive phrases, pronouns, titles, teknonyms, religious, military, attention attractors, as well a combination terms. It also seems there no absolute stable usage speaking Arabic. Rather, is an infinite society-internal terms usage. intra-group signifies struggles over norms potentially incertitude.
